[It's Ana who forces his hand, in the end. The two of them have ears in a lot of places, and it doesn't take very long to hear about the newly-formed Overwatch's botched mission. Jack wishes it hadn't been so predictable--Winston and Lena, in over their heads, blindsided by Talon. He knows it was only a matter of time, but despite all of his attempts to prepare himself for the inevitable, when he and Ana catch word of the scientist kept captive in a nearby Talon facility, it's hard not to feel some measure of despair.

He tries to fight it all down--remind himself that he has a mission to undertake, that he warned Winston something like this would happen. That Lena will muster the remaining members of new Overwatch and stage their own rescue mission. That it isn't his business anymore and that Winston and Lena and the rest signed up for this when they painted targets on their backs. They'll have to learn how to muddle through this on their own.

If you want something done right, however, you have to do it yourself, and that in combination with Ana's gentle prodding spurs him to finally take action. Talon is expecting Overwatch to bust through their front door--they are most certainly not expecting a pair of vigilantes sneaking in the back. It's not hard to figure out where they're keeping Winston. Fighting their way to the cell is the hard part, and eventually the sounds of their break-in reverberate throughout the complex.

But really, Talon goons don't stand a chance in the face of a super soldier and the peerless sniper backing him up. Soon enough, the fight's brought straight to the holding cells, where Jack dispatches the remaining guards with a brutality that bears no resemblance to the man he used to be. If he's concerned about that, he doesn't show it, moving lethally and efficiently to clear the room.

When the last guard falls, he straightens slowly, scanning the room with his visor just to make sure. After a moment, he determines that barring prisoners, they're alone. Jack gestures to one of the fallen guards.

Check if someone has a key card on them.

[To unlock the cell. Ana starts to look immediately, and neither of them seem to notice that Winston has roused himself to consciousness. First things first.]
