[ The sun in Egypt burns hot, much hotter than Genji is used to after spending so much time in Nepal. Even his time hopping between planets never exposed him to heat quite like this, and while he's wearing robes to cover his face and his cybernetics, there's nothing to stop the metal parts of him from heating up and causing the parts of him that are still human to sweat.

All in all, not a comfortable situation, but Genji's certainly been through worse. He'll spend every day still being grateful that he's able to walk at all, and able to feel this kind of harmless discomfort.

Besides, he's here for a reason, and tracking down Jack Morrison will make this all worth it. Jack had been vague about where he was based even when they'd been on the verge of returning back to Earth after their time with COST. All the same, Genji had been able to gather enough from small details in their conversations to pinpoint his location. At least, he hopes he's right.

He's been in Cairo for a few days now, following the news and keeping an eye out for any suspiciously familiar figures. Honestly, he would have expected to find Jack beating up criminals in a back alley, or making some other kind of commotion.

Instead, he happens upon him in one of Cairo's busy daytime markets. It's by chance that he sees him, a familiar posture and set of shoulders and he just knows, even though Jack isn't wearing his signature jacket. After taking a moment to observe him, Genji steps up to his side at the stall where Jack is standing before he announces himself. ]

Long time no see, my friend.

[ Not that long, but it feels that way after they'd seen each other on an almost daily basis for some months. ]
